Laura Henderson lives in a little house, in a quiet neighborhood, surrounded on every side by her not-so-quiet children. Many years ago, before Laura had children of her own, she began telling Knookerdoodle stories as a classroom teacher. Her students loved the stories and would often come to class telling her they saw a Knookerdoodle in their bedroom or at a park.
As the years passed and children of her own arrived, Knookerdoodle stories left the classroom to live quietly in Laura’s home. One fateful day, her 6 year old son said wistfully, “Wouldn’t it be great if we invented Knookerdoodles?” To his utter amazement, his mother said, “We did.”
And that is where our story begins, the day a child urged his mother to write down his favorite stories. Which to write a story is an adventure all its own and a particularly nice adventure if it involves coffee and sweets. So with the encouragement of family and friends, the Knookerdoodle Adventure Series is being written. Like her own household, Laura hopes Knookerdoodles will bring a sparkle to your family and joy to your child’s heart.
